No, you are required to make your own visa arrangements.

Do I need inoculations before coming to India?

Answer:

No vaccinations are necessary to travel to India however, foreign tourists should be in possession of a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, conforming to international health regulations, if they are originating or travelling through Yellow Fever endemic countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the following vaccinations (as well as being up to date with measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations): Adult diphtheria and tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and varicella. It is advisable to check with your doctor before travelling.

What travel documents do we need to bring to the Camp?

Answer:

Valid Passport with a valid Indian visa and travel insurance for foreigners.
Indian travellers must have at least one of their Indian Government issued ID.

Since these are skin sensitive we recommend you carry your own, however, insect repellents are provided at the Camp.

Personal travel insurance – We strongly recommend that you have adequate travel insurance cover from your country of domicile for injury, illness, death, accident, adventure tours and activities, loss of effects or luggage and holiday cancellation. Kindly refer to the cancellation policy stated in our Booking Terms and Conditions.

Insurance for the SangamNivas, Allahabad – The camp is comprehensively insured for fire, earthquake, theft and terrorism.

 

 

 

Food and Beverages

Refreshments will be provided on excursions and where applicable, packed lunch will also be organized.

Do we need to reserve a table before any meal?

Answer:

No. The dining tent can accommodate all in-house guests at the same time.

Is the tap water safe to drink?

Answer:

No, we advise you to drink bottled water or from R.O. at all times.

Do you consider special dietary requirements?

Answer:

Yes, special dietary requirements can be provided if the same is mentioned at the time of booking the package. It would be helpful if you could also list allergies if any.

What type of food will be served at SangamNivas?

Being a part of a spiritual event, food served at the camp will be vegetarian and alcohol is not permitted anywhere in the premises.

What things to carry for my trip?

As the Kumbh Mela is from the month of January to March which also is the peak of winter, we advise you to carry clothes accordingly:

  • Warm jacket, scarf, trousers, gloves, ear-muffs, woollen beanies
  • Flip-flops and trainers
  • Sun hat
  • Sunscreen/sun block with SPF 45+
  • Sunglasses
  • Water bottle
  • Personal medication
  • Socks and shoes/trainers
  • Vaseline/Lip balm

What are the security arrangements at SangamNivas?

Answer:

The Camp is manned by G4 Security personnel 24×7. In addition, the premises are secured with CCTV cameras.

 

 

Bathroom Amenities

Do the tents have en-suite bathrooms?

Answer:

Yes, all tents have en-suite bathrooms.

Are there electric shaver sockets?

There will be three pin sockets and adapters available at the Camp.

No, however hair dryers can be arranged upon request.

 

Children

  • Question:

Are children permitted to the Kumbh Mela?

Answer:

Children of all ages are welcome at the camp. However, adequate care and precaution is advised due to the cold weather during January and February.

  • For children under the age of 5 years (with bed), INR 3500 per night will be chargeable
  • For children between the ages of 6 and 11 years (without bed), INR 5000 per night will be chargeable
  • For children between the ages of 6 and 11 years (with bed), INR 8500 per night will be chargeable
  • For Children above 12 years (with bed), INR 12500 per night will be chargeable
  • For Children above 18 years (with bed), INR 15000 per night will be chargeable

There will be vegetarian food suitable for children on the menu.
